Concluding event of 15th NNPD celebration to take place next week

Addis Ababa, December 2, 2020 (FBC) –The House of Federation (HoF) said the 15th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day (NNPD) will be celebrated more colourfully on Dec 8.

HoF Speaker, Adem Farah, told journalist today that it will be celebrated in Addis Ababa and regional states in a way that reinforces equality and unity of nations and nationalities of Ethiopia.

This year’s celebration is unique as it comes at a time when the extremist TPLF clique was defeated by the national defence forces, he indicated.

Unlike the previous years, this year’s celebration will not take place in mass gathering but through blood donations, symposiums, panel discussions, and volunteerism, he said.

According to Adem, the day will be celebrated in Friendship Park with the theme “Equality and National Unity for Shared Prosperity.”
