Deputy Mayor visits Pushkin square-Gotera interchange road project

Addis Ababa, May 28, 2020 (FBC) –Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city Engineer Takele Uma today visited the progress of Pushkin square-Gotera interchange road project.

The 3.8km road project was launched nine months ago in the capital Addis Ababa.

It sees construction of 320 mteres long tunnel in two sides and bus rapid transit (BRT) passage, among others.

According to Mayor Office of Addis Ababa, the construction of the tunnel is nearing completion. The project is expected to be completed within a year.

Pushkin square-Gotera interchange road project is being undertaken by the Chinese firm, China First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd.

In addition to giving people another option of avenue, the project would help reduce traffic jams in the area.
