Ethiopia committed to its promise in implementing UNFPA’s intervention areas: State Minister

Addis Ababa, March 15, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia is committed to executing and carrying out its promises in implementing the organization’s intervention areas, said Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister for Foreign Affairs

The State Minister held a discussion with Lydia Zigomo, Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for the Eastern and Southern Africa Region.

Mesganu expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to executing and carrying out its promises in implementing the organization’s intervention areas such as addressing preventable maternal death, assisting young people in reaching their full potential, ending gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls, and empowering women.

Mrs. Lydia Zigomo commended the Ethiopian government for working with and supporting UNFPA throughout the years.
