Ethiopia-Qatar trade, investment forum will be held today

Addis Ababa, March 29, 2021 (FBC) – The Ethiopia-Qatar trade and investment forum will be held virtually today, Monday 29, 2021, starting from 4:00 PM local time aiming at enhancing multifaceted ties between the two countries. The forum has been organized by Ethiopian Embassy in Doha, in collaboration with KON W.L.L.

The workshop, which is the second edition, will highlight the Ethiopia-Qatar economic ties, the major business opportunities in Ethiopia and the incentive packages to foreign investors.

Qatari businessmen and women, Ethiopian higher officials, the Embassy officials, and invited guests are expected to participate in the forum.

Ethiopia is one of the top 10 leading investment destinations in Africa. It has a huge untapped and attractive investment potential in the fields of agriculture, hotel and tourism, trade, infrastructure, transport, health, education, mining and manufacturing.

This will be a good opportunity for the government of the State of Qatar and the Qatari businessmen and women to have more investment in Ethiopia.

Particularly, the huge investment potential in agri-business and agro-processing will serve the interests of both nations. There are still tremendous potentials and opportunities to exploit which will further strengthen the everlasting relations and mutual benefit, said Ethiopian Embassy in Doha said in a press release.

The Embassy further invited Qatari businessmen and women to come and invest in Ethiopia, to import Ethiopian products, to visit various Ethiopian tourist attractions, to enjoy the magnificent weather and natural beauties, and cultural diversities of Ethiopia.
