Ethiopia registers 588 new COVID 19 cases, 7 deaths in 24hrs

Addis Ababa, August 5, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health yesterday reported 588 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID 19).

This takes the number of confirmed cases in the nation to 19, 877.

The Ministry also reported 7 COVID19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 343.

A total of 309 patients have recovered from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 8, 240.

The number of active cases in Ethiopia now stands at 11, 292, of which 187 are in a severe condition. The country has so far conducted 452, 427 laboratory tests.
