Ethiopia sees highest daily increase in deaths from COVID19

Addis Ababa, August 3, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health yesterday reported 28 deaths from coronavirus (COVID19) – the highest daily total to date.

This brings the death toll in the country to 310.

The Ministry also reported 707 news cases and a record 406 recoveries in the reported period.

The number of confirmed cases and recoveries now stands at 18, 706 and 7 601, respectively.

There are now 10,793 active cases of which 153 are in a severe condition. Ethiopia has so far conducted 437, 319 laboratory tests.
