Ethiopia welcomes Slovenia’s move to open embassy in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, April 11, 2023 (FBC) – State Minster of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Ambassador Birtukan Ayano has met with Ambassador Renata Cvelbar Bek, Special Envoy to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.

According to Ministry of Foreign affairs (MFA), on their meetings the two sides discussed procedural issues on the opening of Slovenian embassy in Ethiopia.

Ambassador Birukan reaffirmed the government’s support for the process of opening Slovenian embassy in Ethiopia, MFA added.

It is to be recall that Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Mister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, in her recent meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen has disclosed Slovenia’s readiness to open an Embassy in Addis Ababa.
