Defense Minister meets with French State Minister of Foreign Affairs

Addis Ababa, January 30, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s Minister of Defense, Lemma Megersa, held discussion with Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of France.

Lemma and his delegation, comprising of senior generals, arrived yesterday in Paris for an officials working visit.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Paris, Lemma and Lemoyne “had very fruitful discussions.”

The two agreed to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, it added.

The delegation is also expected to meet with officials of Presidential office, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Defense Staff.

The visit is aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries in training and equipment supply for the Ethiopian Air and Naval forces.
