Ethiopians in Birmingham, Coventry host fundraising event in support of GERD

Addis Ababa, August 30, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopians living in cities of Birmingham and Coventry, United Kingdom hosted fundraising event in support of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

Members of the Ethiopian Diaspora community who participated on the fundraising event reaffirmed unwavering commitment to GERD until the project is completed and goes operational.

Organizers of the event introduced new online platforms and apps i.e https://itismydam.et https://bit.ly/, ItsMyDam (Android), https://bit.ly/ItsMyDam-iOS (iOS) that would help easily fundraise for construction of GERD.

Ethiopian Ambassador to the UK, Teferi Melese who presided over the event called on the community to continue support for GERD and ongoing reform process at large to back Ethiopia’s ongoing development endeavors.
