Center Obtains Accreditation to Kick-start Training

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2021 (FBC) – Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) Training Center has got a permit from the granting authority of Addis Ababa City Administration that enables the corporation to offer short term trainings in various fields.

The training encompasses programs in journalism, media technology, communication and public relations, marketing and many other fields.

The Education & Training Institutions’ Accreditation and License Renewal Director at the authority, Yeayneabeba Sergu, said that the training center of FBC will play a role in helping develop the Ethiopian media industry.

FBC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Admasu Damtew, said for his part that the establishment of the center has emanated from Fana’s conviction that journalism should be practiced based on the proper knowledge of the profession.

The CEO has also called on interested institutions to partner with FBC in the endeavor.

The FBC Training Center Director, Abraham Haile, noted that the center is well equipped with the required material and manpower along with designing the curriculum; adding that the center now is ready to accept trainees.
