France announces a €3mln to Ethiopia in support of people affected by drought
Addis Ababa, March 29, 2022 (FBC) – The Government of France has announced a 3 million Euro donation to WFP in Ethiopia in response to the impacts of drought in the eastern part of the country.
The project will provide cash-based food transfers to vulnerable people to prevent all forms of malnutrition in drought-affected woredas in Somali region, According to French Embassy in Addis Ababa.
France and Ethiopia has been celebrating their 125th Anniversary with various events including joint business form held yesterday in Addis Ababa.
In addition to the humanitarian support, France is working jointly with Ethiopia in restoration of the Lalibela world heritage site.
