Government sets direction to create conducive learning environment in universities: PM

Addis Ababa, October 19, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that the government has put in place directions towards creating conducive learning environment in universities.

The Prime Minister has discussed with high leadership of all universities and officials of Ministry of Education on ways of resuming the higher education programs.

“Our discussions explored preparedness to resume programs in a #COVID19 responsive manner and assess related activities underway.” the premier said in facebook.

The premier and the education sector and universities’ officials also discussed mechanisms to ensure that universities are adequately ready to address any peace and security challenges.

“As universities are sites of knowledge and innovation, we set a direction with university leadership to create a conducive environment for learning as well as tourism.” the Prime Minister added.
