Chairperson reaffirms commitment of AUC to full realization of CoHA

Addis Ababa, March 29, 2023 (FBC) – Commissioner of the Ethiopian National Rehabilitation Commission, Ambassador Teshome Toga discussed with Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Moussa Faki Mahamat on the implementation of the Secession of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA) reached by the federal government and the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) and related issues.

The two have also exchanged views on the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of the x-combatants of the TPLF.

Moussa Faki Mahamat reaffirmed strong commitment of the AUC to accompany Ethiopia in full realization of the CoHA facilitated by the AU under the Motto of ‘African Solutions to African Problems.’

The National Rehabilitaiton Commission has so far held consultation with donors and partners last week on the national demobilization and reintegration program.

The partners and donors affirmed their commitment to support DDR and peace in Ethiopia.
