Hawassa Industrial Park increases face mask production capacity to 20,000 pieces

Addis Ababa, April 15, 2020 (FBC) –The Hawassa industrial park has increased its face mask production capacity to 20,000 pieces per day.

Garment and textile industries have moved to producing face masks to contribute their share to the national COVID 19 containment efforts, said Fitsum Ketema, manager of Hawassa industrial park.

Accordingly, the park has uplifted its face mask production capacity to 20, 000 per day from 10,000 now, he stated.

Fitsum also announced plans to increase daily production to 50,000 pieces.
