Hirut conference with WIPO delegation

Addis Ababa, January 21, 2020 (FBC) –State Minister of Foreign Affairs Hirut Zemene met today a delegation led by Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

On the occasion, Hirut stated that Ethiopia will work to strengthen its relation with the organization.

The State Minister expressed her hope that WIPO will continue the support it has been providing to protect intellectual property in developing countries.

Wang Binying said “this is my first visit to Ethiopia. I’m happy to be in a land of origins and a country growing rapidly in Africa.”

The Deputy Director General also pledged that she will work hard to strengthen  relations between Ethiopia and her organization.
