Ministry distributes 200 motorcycles to support dev’t projects in pastoral areas

Addis Ababa, April 19, 2021 (FBC) –The Ministry of Peace today handed over 200 motorcycles to Somali, Afar, Oromia, SNNP, Benishangul and Gambella regional states.

The donation is aimed at increasing service delivery and pace of projects being executed in pastoral areas that have no access to road facilities, said the Ministry.

Somali regional state received 72 motorcycles, Afar 40, Oromia 36, SNNP 18, Benishangul Gumuz 18 and Gambella 16 motorcycles, according to the Ministry.

As part of the efforts to improve the livelihood of pastoral community, some 81 vehicles will be distributed soon, the Ministry added.
