MInT inks agreement with India’s SAARC Masts Tech

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT) has signed an agreement with India’s SAARC Masts Tech to work together on building high-tech enterprises in digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing services, software technology and innovation.

During the signing event, Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla emphasized the need to leveraging the opportunities brought about by the digi-tech era as the basis for the development of the national economy and ensure the benefit of the community by transforming the opportunities into national assets.

The Minister said that Ethiopia has always been a great and sought-after country for partnership, and stated that it is imperative to utilize the nation’s potential in the technology that has driven the global economy and to join the increasingly complex and sophisticated technological development by strengthening cooperation.

Recalling the longstanding relations between Ethiopia and India, the Minister indicated that his country is committed to creating a close relationship with SAARC Masts Tech to work extensively in the sector.

Dr. R. Nandagopan, CEO of SAARC Masts Tech, said that his company is desirous in working with Ethiopia.
