MoTRI Minister meets with Slovenian FM

Addis Ababa, April 10, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Gebremeskel Chala discussed with the Slovenian delegation, headed by Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.

During their discussion, Minister Gebremeskel Chala stated that the bilateral trade relations between the two countries should be strengthened by using Ethiopia’s untapped potential in the tourism, service and economic sectors.

For the past five years, Ethiopia has been in the process of reform in all sectors.

“Ethiopia will work to further strengthen and develop the relationship between the two countries by by utilizing Sslovenia’s potential in technology, research and chemical industry,” said the minister.

Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs & Minister of European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, for her part, said, “By visiting and exploring the opportunities that we have in common during our stay in Ethiopia, we will work together on all matters that will enhance bilateral relations and ensure mutual benefit.”

Since its arrival in Addis Ababa for an official working visit, the Slovene delegation has already met with Demeke Mekonnen, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and other government officials.
