MoWCY Minister met with EU managing Director for Africa

Addis Ababa, May 3, 2021 (FBC) – Minister of the Ministry of Women Children and Youth (MoWCY), Filsen Abdullah Ahmed has discussed with European Union (EU) Managing Director for Africa, Rita Laranjinha on various issues.

On the occasion, the MoWCY Minister explained to the EU regional Managing Director what the ministry has been doing in the prevention of violence against women and rehabilitation of survivors and related activities.

Filsan also briefed the managing director on the activities being carried out to protect unaccompanied children and internally displaced people.

The director, to her part, reiterated the commitment of the EU to support the efforts of the Ethiopian government in the short and long term endeavors.
