No earthly power can control Ethiopia’s destiny: Envoy to UN

Addis Ababa, October 15, 2021 (FBC) – “Peace and Unity for Ethiopia” Association in partnership with Ethiopian Embassy in the US has organized a fundraising event in Washington D.C. in response to the recent humanitarian situation in Ethiopia.

The fundraising event is aimed to deliver humanitarian assistance to IDPs who are highly affected by aggression of the terrorist TPLF in northern parts of the country.

Addressing the gatherings at the fundraising event, Ethiopian Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the UN, Taye Atskeselassie said that no earthly power can control the destiny of Ethiopia.

He said Ethiopians are the only legitimate power that can determine the course of the destiny of their nation.

Ambassador Taye caled on Ethiopians living in all corners of the world to maintain wisdom and comprehend the latest situation with full composure and act accordingly to take the nation to the next level.

Ethiopian Ambassador to the United States, Fitsum Arega, on his part, stated that Ethiopians living in various states of the U.S. have raised nearly 500,000 USD in support of the humanitarian endeavors in the homeland calling for continued engagement to address the situation.
