Oromia President met with Administrative Boundaries, Identity Issues Commission

Addis Ababa, October 23,2020 (FBC) – President of Oromia Regional State Shimelis Abdissa discussed with members of Administrative Boundaries and Identity Issues Commission on various issues.

On the discussion, members of the commission expressed the need for consideration and support from the regional government at all structural levels to the activities to be undertaken by the commission in the region.

President of the Region, Shimelis Abdissa, to his part, assured members of the commission that the regional government is ready to extend any required support to undertakings to commission in the regional state.

Shemelis, explaining that Oromia borders all national regional states of Ethiopia except Tigray, said the region is working to maintain better relationship with all neighboring regions expressing optimism that the commission remains committed to fill the remaining gaps in doing so.

The commission is mandated to address challenges related to administrative boundary and identity issues with support of inclusive transparent scientific researches, according to Oromia Region Communication Affairs Bureau.
