Over 85,000 ha land in Amhara Region planted with soyabean: Agency

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2021 (FBC) – Agricultural Transformation Agency announced that more than 85,000 of land has been planted with soybean cash crop in participation of 73,000 farmers.

The Agency indicated that the farmers engaged in production of pulses in the region are showing progress in line with meeting the demand in the market.

In a related story, the Agency disclosed that 236,920 farmers in the region who teamed up in 25 clusters covered 95,293 ha of land with maize, and are expected to harvest 15.8 million quintals of production.
