PM Abiy Ahmed calls on all Ethiopians to support forthcoming National Dialogue with sense of ownership

Addis Ababa, April 1, 2022 (FBC) –  In a message he delivered today, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called upon all Ethiopians to support the process of the forthcoming National Dialogue with keenness and sense of ownership.

Inclusiveness of the dialogue will not be achieved unless all Ethiopians actively  and earnestly support the process, the Premier underlined.

Saying that the National Dialogue is a great opportunity to put the country’s future on the right track, Abiy also called for credibility of the process.

Abiy has demanded that contending political parties actively support the process with a sense of ownership apart from participating in the discussion so that the desired outcomes will be achieved.

He also urged intellectuals to provide the National Dialogue Commission with constructive comments and recommendations voluntarily so as to contribute significantly to this historic stride.

The Premier further underscored the decisive role of religious leaders in realizing the desired national consensus which is the major goal of the National Dialogue.
