PM Abiy Ahmed congratulates recipients of 4th EBC-CBE Sports Award

Addis Ababa, April 16, 2022 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has congratulated the recipients of the 4th EBC-CBE Sports Award.  “We need not forget the many heroes in our midst and should strive to create many more by appreciating existing ones and nurturing new ones through modeling.” the Premier underlined.

Prime Minister Abiy noted that sports require individual skills for group efforts as does nation building, enable personal gain but also support nation image building, require consistent and incremental effort and hard work as does a nation, and adherence to regulations as does a nation which warrants our commitment to both written and unwritten rules. 

“As we honor the success, hard work and accomplishments of our sport heroes, let us as a nation realize the lessons that sports show us.” he underscored.
