PM Abiy: Gamo Zone endowed with abundance of natural resources

Addis Ababa, November 3, 2022 (FBC) – The FDRE Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed labeled Gamo Zone as endowed with an abundance of natural resources.

Prime Minister Abiy is on a working visit in the Southern Peoples’ Region since November 1 and he commended the rich and untapped natural resource potentials in the region.

Gomo Zone’s rich natural resource potential is the latest to receive praise from the Ethiopian Prime Minister.

PM Abiy, First Lady Zinash Tayachew and other federal and regional senior government officials were greeted and cheered by a huge crowd of residents of Gamo zone on Thursday morning.

After his moment with the crowd, the Premier stated that Gamo Zone is endowed with an abundance of natural resources.

PM Abiy complimented the Gamo zone residents, saying; “Through their strong work culture, the people have been able to pass on lusciousness to the next generation. The Gamo people are known for their peaceful and reconciliatory culture.”

“If we, too, sweat for peace and contribute to the reconstruction of war-ravaged areas, we will gain rather than lose”, he added.
