PM, First Lady Plant Trees at Girls Boarding School

Addis Ababa, August 2, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew together with their family members have planted trees at Etegie Menen Girls’ Boarding School in Addis Ababa.

Deputy Mayor Engineer Takele Uma and other high ranking officials have participated in the planting held at the boarding school.

Prime Minister Abiy appreciated the city Administration and residents of the city for actively participating in the planting session that took place in several places of the metropolis.

Abiy described the participants of the Green Legacy Challenge that took place today in the capital as “Environmental Heroes”.

“Addis Ababa environment heroes have come out today from all parts of the city to meet the Green Legacy Challenge.

“We’re halfway through the planting season and I commend you for rising to what the next generation demands of you.”, he noted.

The premier encouraged all throughout the country to exceed the annual goal set to plant 5 billion trees in this summer season.
