President Sahle-Work calls for concerted efforts to stop violence against women

Addis Ababa, November 25, 2022 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde called on all stakeholders to stop violence against women. In her opening remarks at the White Ribbon Day event held in Hawassa City, the President called on all stakeholders to join hands against any form of violence on woman.

She further urged concerted remedial activities to provide victims with social and psychological support.

Chief Administrator of the Sidama Regional State, Desta Ledamo condemned any physical and psychological violences targeting women as a barbarous act, reaffirmes regional administrations relentless efforts to increase the public awareness toward the issues for better preventive actions.
