President Sahle-Work calls for empowerment of women leaders

Addis Ababa, June 23, 2021 (FBC) – In her remarks at a high-level discussion organized by Women Political Leaders and co-hosted by the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, President Sahle-Work Zewde emphasized the importance of having women in leadership positions in ensuring a nation’s growth and development.

The President highlighted some recommendations on empowering women leaders such as leadership training and mentorship by women in leadership positions, promoting networking and allyship among women and giving women the opportunities to deliver.
