Prosperity Party re-elects Abiy Ahmed as its president

Addis Ababa, February 2, 2025 (FMC) — During the closing session of its second congress held this morning, the ruling Prosperity Party re-elected Abiy Ahmed (PhD) as its president.

The party held its second congress since Friday in Addis Ababa under the theme “From Pledge to Practice”.

The elected President of the Prosperity Party, Abiy Ahmed, took the oath of office before the congress in accordance with the party’s bylaws.

In related news, the congress also elected Mr. Temesgen Tiruneh and Mr. Adem Farah as the party’s Vice Presidents.

The two Vice Presidents also sworn in before the congress in accordance with the party’s bylaws.
