Residents Express Solidarity with Army Staging Mass Demonstrations
Addis Ababa, October 25, 2021 (FBC) – Residents of Gilgel Beles town, in Benishangul Gumuz State, have held public demonstrations in supporting the national defense and regional state security forces.
They also protest the atrocities Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) is causing in various parts of the country, mentioning that those destabilizing Benishangul Gumuz to accomplish the evil deeds of TPLF, in the name of liberating Gumuz people, never represent truly the Gumuz.
Mayor of Gilgel Beles, Habtamu Wubalta, has thanked the demonstrators for their determined support to national and regional security forces, and opposing the anti-peace elements in the region.
State Communications Office states that Commander of the 7th Mechanized Army of Ethiopia, Colonel Basfat Fente, calls on sustained public support in helping rout TPLF allies from the region.
