Russia to host second Russia-Africa Summit in July

Addis Ababa, January 19, 2023 (FBC) –The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, announced that his country is planning to host a second Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg from July 23 to 26, 2023.

The Russian FM, during his annual press conference, announced that his country is preparing a whole series of events for the second Summit.

According to Sergey Lavrov, there will also be a business forum, and documents are being prepared on “reconfiguring” the mechanisms of interaction in the face of the sanctions and other threats, as per the Russian Embassy in Addis Ababa.
