Russian business people invited to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 6 2022 (FBC) – Russian business people have been invited to tap investment opportunities in Ethiopia. 

The 8th meeting of the Russian-Ethiopian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Trade Cooperation is now taking place in Addis Ababa.

Addressing the meeting, the Innovation and Technology Minister, Belete Molla called on Russian business communities to invest in Ethiopia particularly in areas of mining and related sectors.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for standing with Ethiopia during its trying times, and demanded cooperation between the two countries in science, education and other areas be strengthened.

Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, for his part, said the meeting is aimed to explore ways how to implement agreements the two countries have signed so far into practice and cement trade and investment ties.
