Slovenia vows to support Ethiopia in beekeeping 

Addis Ababa, April 10, 2023 (FBC) – Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Mister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, met with Gebremeskel Challa, Minister for Trade and Regional Integration Ministry

According to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia (MFEA), the two sides agreed to strengthen their relations, especially in beekeeping.

“Slovenia can offer beekeeping know-how and technology to Ethiopia, which is home to 6 million bees”, MFEA has stated.

Tanja Fajon is expected to meet Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen, MFEA has indicated.

It is stated that Slovenia’s DPM and FM also expected to meet other senior officials during her official visit to Ethiopia.

It is to be recall that a high-level delegation led by Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, arrived in Addis Ababa this morning for a three-day official visit.

The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen relations between the two countries, also in the light of the imminent opening of the Slovenian Embassy in Addis Ababa.
