Some 1,173 Ethiopians repatriated from Saudi Arabia today

Addis Ababa, January 27, 2023 (FBC) – Some 1,173 Ethiopians were repatriated today from Saudi Arabia in three rounds of repatriation, the FDRE Ministry of Women and Social Affairs (MoWSA) announced.

Among today’s returnees, 1,135 of them are men, 5 women, and 33 are children and teenagers under the age of 18, the Ministry said.

MoWSA’s statement on social media indicates that reintegration of the returnees with their families is being carried out by providing appropriate support and care.

The Ministry’s statement further indicates that 35,249 Ethiopians have been repatriated from Saudi Arabia since November 21, 2022.
