Supreme Court adjudicates 15, 563 files in concluded Ethiopian fiscal year

Addis Ababa, August 9, 2020 (FBC) –The Federal Supreme Court has adjudicated 15, 563 files in the 2012 Ethiopian fiscal year, which ended July 7.

The court received a total of 18, 928 files and managed to resolve 15, 563 or 82.22% of them.

The court initially targeted giving decisions on 19, 981 issues in the fiscal year.

The court described the annual performance as encouraging since it was registered during the partial closure of courts due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Ethiopian federal courts were in partial closure since mid-March this year due to the pandemic. They returned to their full operation late July.
