Sweden affirms continued support to Ethiopia in restoring affected areas, building sustainable peace
Addis Ababa, December 4, 2020 (FBC) – Minister of Peace, Muferihat Kamil has today held talks with Deputy Minister for International Development Cooperation of Sweden, Per Olsson Fridh via telephone call on various issues including current situation in Ethiopia.
During the teleconference, HE Muferihat Kamil briefed the Deputy Minister on activities the government is undertaking to bring perpetrators to justice and reconstruct infrastructure and rehabilitated the displaced affected by the law enforcement operation.
She briefed the Deputy Minister on the efforts federal government exerted to address issues with TPLF through peaceful consultation.
Deputy Minister Per Olsson Fridh, to his part, appreciated the care taken to protect civilians during the law enforcement process and affirmed that Sweden will continue support efforts of Ethiopian in restoring affected areas and building sustainable peace.
