Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia expresses readiness to collaborate with FBC

Addis Ababa, April 12, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador of Turkey to Ethiopia, Yaprak Alp visited today the headquarters of Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC).

CEO of FBC, Admassu Damtew told the Ambassador that FBC is the leading media in Ethiopia in terms of addressing its larger audience with up-to-date and reliable information.

FBC is working to enhance people-to-people ties between Ethiopia and brotherly countries besides disseminating entertaining and informative news and programs through various ways of transmission including broadcast, print and digital media outlets.

The CEO further stated that FBC is sharing best practices with peer institutions in countries that have immense experiences in the field of media particularly in areas of, among others, training, technology transfer and technical assistance.

Content Division Deputy CEO of FBC, Abel Adamu, for his part, explained to Ambassador Yaprak Alp that FBC is broadcasting reliable, balanced and timely information with various local and international languages on economic, political and social affairs via television, radio and digital media outlets.

Saying that Turkey has highly equipped media being operated by skilled workforce, the Deputy CEO expressed FBC’s interest to work in partnership with these Turkish counterparts.

Ambassador Yaprak, for her part, appreciated FBC’s efforts in disseminating reliable, balanced and up-to-date information to its audience, affirming the commitment of the Embassy to work jointly with FBC in the field of technology transfer, training, experience sharing and technical assistance spheres.

The Ambassador further reiterated readiness to contribute her part in cementing the historical and longstanding relationship between Ethiopia and Turkey in multifaceted areas of cooperation.
