UN’s training on transformative leadership for gender equality concludes

Addis Ababa, April 10, 2023 (FBC) – The United Nation’s two days trans-formative leadership training for gender equality which was held in Adama town concluded today.

According to UN Women Ethiopia, the training brought together 150 women parliamentarians including those chairing various standing committees in the House of Peoples’ Representatives (HoPR) for leadership capacity building.

In addition to building women parliamentarians’ leadership skills on gender and leadership, communication, personal development, and conflict resolution the training created a platform for women parliamentarians to share their leadership journey and story of resilience, it added.

The ‘Strengthening institutional and parliamentarians’ capacity for gender responsive Parliament in Ethiopia’ Project that is implemented by Women Members of the House of Peoples’ Representatives ( HOPR) in collaboration with UN Women funded by the Embassies of Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland and Norway, UN Women Ethiopia has indicated.

It is to be recall that the Training was opened by Lomi Bedo, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of Ethiopia.
