1bln birr worth textile plant inaugurated in Debre Berhan

Addis Ababa, January 13, 2023 (FBC) – The Amhara Region Chief Administrator, Yilkal Kefale, inaugurated today a textile plant built with 1,000,000,000 Birr capital in Debre Berhan city.

In his remarks at the inaugural ceremony, the chief administrator stated that the Amhara region government will provide the necessary support to the plant owners.

It is indicated that the newly inaugurated textile plant, Zema Textile Factory, is projected to create employment opportunities for 300 individuals.

More than 3,000 individuals are also expected to benefit from indirect employment opportunities of the factory.

After the inauguration ceremony, other federal and regional senior government officials and businessmen, including the Amhara region chief administrator, Yilkal Kefale, visited the under construction Belayneh Kende’s car assembly plant in Debre Berhan.
