9th India-Africa ICT Expo opens in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, August 9, 2023 (FBC) – The ninth India-Africa ICT Expo kicked off today in Addis Ababa.

Minister of State for Innovation and Technology Huria Ali, president of Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mesnebet Shenkute, Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia Shri Robert Shetkintong, and the heads of companies in the sector attended the launch program.

It is said that the expo was jointly organized by the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia (MInT), and Indian Telecom Equipment and Services.

It is mentioned that 30 Indian and 16 Ethiopian companies will participate in the two-day expo.

It is noted that the expo brought together ICT entrepreneurs, giant companies and various technology owners in one platform.

It also has a significant role in promoting Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy to the stakeholders.

The “India-Africa ICT Expo 2023” is scheduled to be held from 9-10 August 2023 in Addis Ababa.
