AARDO vows to support rural development projects in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May 20, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Ambassador to India, Tizita Mulugeta conferred with Rami Qtaishat, Assistant Secretary General of the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) yesterday.

Ambassador Tizita expressed her gratitude to AARDO for its rich and continuous trainings, workshops and scholarship opportunities provided to the member countries in which Ethiopia has benefited a lot in rural development and capacity building training.

Assistant Secretary General Mr. Rami also appreciated Ethiopia’s efforts and called for more engagement and participation for opportunities provided by AARDO and expressed AARDO’s commitment to support Ethiopia in its rural development projects.

The two further discussed ways to create wider opportunities and coordination efforts on rural development management studies and fisheries management trainings and capacity building programs.

Africa- Asia Rural Development Organization- AARDO is an intergovernmental organization, established in 1962, supporting sustainable rural development for people in Africa and Asia. Ethiopia joined AARDO in 1967.
