Addis Ababa accelerates megaprojects crucial to change its narratives

Addis Ababa, July 17, 2020 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has been implementing eleven mega projects that are expected to enhance its image at global stage.

Members of the City Council visited the mega projects underway in several parts of the capital and reviewed their performances against the time scheduled.

Speaker of the City Council, Abebech Negash said the visit aimed to aware the public on the overall process of projects through council members they elected so far.

During the visit, members of the council witnessed that execution of mega projects is in a good stand towards building the image of the city and entirely change narratives of Addis Ababa in advance.

They noted that the continuation of the projects despite the rainy condition shows how the city is committed to complete the projects as per timetabled.

Coordinator of the projects, Mery Nigussie said the construction of the mega projects is being carried out day and night to realize their timely completion.
