Addis Ababa begins cadastral registration of landholdings

Addis Ababa, April 13, 2022 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration announced that it has begun cadastral landholding registration and declaration works that will last till September 10, 2022.

Head of the Addis Ababa Land Registration and Information Agency, Kifle Gebre called on landholders in the city to bring all the necessary documents that would help them get their holdings registered and verified through the cadastral system with in the coming fifteen days.

It is stated that the Agency has registered 118,000 landholdings and over 161,000 condominium houses with cadastral system from 2016 to 2019.

Observers drawn from various segments of the society will oversee the cadastral registration system to make the process fair and credible, the Head noted.
