Adanech Abiebie appointed as deputy mayor of Addis Ababa city

Addis Ababa, August 18, 2020 (FBC) –The Addis Ababa city council has approved the appointment of Adanech Abiebie as deputy mayor of the city, replacing Engineer Takele Uma.

The outgoing deputy mayor Engineer Takele passed on the reins to Adanech.

Prior to her current appointment, Adanech was Ethiopia’s Attorney General.

Similarly, the council approved the appointment of Jantirar Abay as coordinator of public service delivery institutions with the rank of deputy mayor.

Prior to his current appointment, Jantirar was infrastructure and urban development advisor to the Prime Minister.
