Adwa Victory Day symbolizes Ethiopian unity: Ambassador Birtukan Ayano

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian Embassy in Qatar along with the Ethiopian community in the country celebrated the 128th Adwa Victory Day.

The guest of honor, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Qatar, Fiesel Aliyie, Staff of the Embassy, Diplomats of other countries and esteemed guests attended the commemorative event.

In her opening speech Ambassador Birtukan Ayano said the day symbolizes Ethiopia’s unity and served as inspiration for all Africans during their struggle against colonialism.

According to Ambassador Birtukan, celebrating the Adwa Victory Day in Foreign lands also opens doors to promote the proud history and good image of Ethiopia.

She also stated affirmed the commitment of the Government of Ethiopia to continue protecting the rights and dignity of Ethiopians who live abroad in line with its Citizen centered Foreign policy.

The event got an Interesting vibe with sports competition and music shows.
