Africa Bamboo PLC to set up a factory at Hawassa Industrial Park

Addis Ababa, October 18, 2022 (FBC) – Africa Bamboo PLC is going to setup a factory at Hawassa Industrial Park, according to Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).

CEO of IPDC, Sandokan Debebe said in a tweet that the Africa Bamboo PLC will manufacture wall cladding and indoor flooring from Bamboo resources in the factory.

More than two thirds of Africa’s bamboo resources are found in Ethiopia and the company has already established a vertically-integrated supply chain from bamboo sourcing and manufacturing to international market, Sandokan underscored.

African Bamboo, engaged in bamboo-based floorboard business, is registered in Ethiopia and the Netherlands.
