Amb. Etsegenet meets with Burundian President

Addis Ababa, October 12, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FDRE to the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu, presented her Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye, today.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Etsegenet conveyed greetings from the FDRE President Sahle-Work Zewde and the people of Ethiopia to the President and the people of Burundi.

The Ambassador further expressed her commitment to work closely with the Government and people of Burundi during her tenure, with a renewed focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Following her meeting with the Burundia president, Amb. Etsegenet expressed her country’s plans of opening the embassy in Burundi to cement the existing fraternal ties of the two countries.
