Amb Zenebu, President of Italian Senate discuss bilateral issues, current affairs

Addis Ababa, December 3, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Italy Zenebu Tadesse and President of Italian Senate, Maria Elisabetta Casellati discussed bilateral issues between their respective countries and current situation in Ethiopia.

During their discussion, Ambassador Zenebu briefed the President of Italian Senate, Maria Elisabetta Casellati on the current situation in Ethiopia pertaining to law enforcement operation underway in the country.

Maria Elisabetta Casellati, to her part, reaffirmed commitment of Italy to further transform its bilateral relationship with Ethiopia.

She also reiterated continued partnership with Ethiopia in various areas of cooperation.

Saying that Italy is closely following the situation in Ethiopia, Maria Elisabetta Casellati expressed confidence that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed addresses the issues with proper manner.
