Ambassador Samia holds discussion with IOM Qatar Chief of Mission

Addis Ababa, May 3, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Qatar, Samia Zekaria received and discussed with the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Qatar, Iman Y. Ereiqat today.

During the meeting, Ambassador Samia briefed the Chief of Mission about the current situation in Ethiopia and the region.

The Ambassador has also informed the Chief of Mission about the Embassy’s activities in protecting the rights of Ethiopian migrant workers in Qatar.

The two further exchanged views on strengthening partnership between the Embassy and the IOM office to address the major challenges that Ethiopian workers are facing.

Iman Y. Ereiqat, to his part, affirmed commitment of IOM Qatar he latter to support the efforts of the Embassy in protecting rights of Ethiopians in Qatar.
