Ambassadors of 5 countries present copies of credentials to Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Addis Ababa, November 25, 2021 (FBC) – The newly appointed Ambassadors of the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Seychelles, and the State of Palestine to Ethiopia presented copies of their letters of credentials to the Deputy Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Alemayehu Sewagegen on Wednesday.

On the occasion, the Ambassadors were briefed on the current situation in Ethiopia. Ambassador Alemayehu told the Ambassadors that the political, economic, and social ties between Ethiopia and the countries need to be strengthened.

Ambassador Zuhair AL-Nsour of Jordan said that Ethiopia and Jordan need to cooperate in all areas, particularly in the economic sector. He also stated that he would work hard to maintain a strong relationship based on mutual benefit.

Conard Vincent Medreric, Ambassador of Seychelles, praised the Ethiopian government for resuming Ethiopian Airlines flights to Seychelles at a time when the economic effect of CV-19 was rising.

Fares H.F, Alqub, Ambassador of the state of Palestine, on his part, said the two countries’ ties are historic and long-standing, and vowed to work hard to sign and implement ongoing agreements in agriculture, health, and information and communication technology.

Ambassadors of Guinea-Bissau and Burkina Faso, Abrema Sano and Oliva Ruamba, for their part, reaffirmed commitment of their respective countries to continue support to Ethiopia under the umbrella of the African Union Commission.

Ambassador Alemayehu assured the newly appointed ambassadors that the Ministry would offer all the necessary assistance so that they could properly carry out their responsibilities in Ethiopia.
